Adding an Elevator to an Existing Home in Athens, AL

Retrofits in Athens depend on the home's layout and structure. Historic homes and newer builds call for different approaches, so an installer will usually start with a site visit.

Athens is the county seat of Limestone County, west of Huntsville, with a historic downtown and growing neighborhoods.

Through-floor lifts and some compact elevators are designed for existing homes with limited space.

Expect some disruption: cutting floors, framing, electrical work, and finishes.

Planning tips for Athens

A site visit is the only way to know which options fit your home.

If you are in Athens, AL, include photos and the number of floors with your request so an installer can tell you which options fit.
